F.A.Q.

If you have any questions that are not answered below, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Are your services covered by OHIP?

Unfortunately, none of our services are covered by OHIP. However, some of the treatments we offer are covered by extended healthcare plans. This fortunate event is the result of employers and insurance companies recognizing that the modern workplace is stressful and it is cheaper to keep people healthy than to cover the costs of them getting ill or taking a stress leave.

If I am covered for treatments through my extended health care, can you bill the insurance company directly?

Yes, we can bill the insurance company directly.  We are using Telus health.  As of now, these insurance companies are accepted; Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan, Cowan, Desjardins Insurance, Great-West Life Assurance Company, IA Financial Group, Johnson, Johnston Group, Manulife, Maximum Benefit, Standard Life, and more. You will have to bring your card, sign some documents and verify with your provider if you need any referrals.

If your insurance is not mentioned you may have to pay for the treatment, you will be given a receipt with all the relevant information and you must then submit the receipt for reimbursement.

Please verify with your provider if you will be covered for the services you are seeking.

**We can only direct bill for Massage Therapy and Naturopathic services.

Can I claim massage therapy on my income tax?

Do you provide Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Rehabilitation?

Massage therapy and physiotherapy are frequently used to assess MVA injuries and design a treatment plan to restore your functional ability as soon as possible. The majority of the treatment may be covered by your automobile insurance company depending on the coverage you choose. Although we do not bill directly companies for MVA’s.

Do I have to disclose all my health conditions on the health history for to my massage therapist?

It is best if you can give an accurate picture of your health and injuries on your health history form. This enables your therapist to design the most appropriate and effective treatment for you. (All information is kept confidential).

Can other members of my family use my benefits?

Receipts can only be made in the name of the person receiving the treatment.

Is it alright to get a massage when I am sick with a cold or the flu?

Getting a massage while you are not feeling well is not advised. One of the benefits of massage is that it greatly increases circulation, but that can also mean circulation of toxins that are already in your system, so you could temporarily feel worse. It is usually preferable to wait until you are feeling better to receive massage therapy. If you have a fever, please stay home.

We require at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or change an appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, you will be charged 50% of your appointment time. If you don’t show and don’t give us a call, you will be charged 100% of your missed appointment.
We value your time so please respect ours.
